Spanish Culture ----- Spanish Swear Words
Don't be disappointed - we're not going to teach you any Spanish swear words. (We are a family friendly site / newsletter.) I want you to know the culture of Spanish swear words, as well as, other regional slang so you will be educated in this area.
Before you spend time to learn these words, you need to know that they change not only from country to country but from region to region. What is a swear word in Mexico may not be a swear word in Panama or Spain and other words that are non-offensive in Columbia can be very offensive in Peru.
The same is true with slang. For example, the slang word for "friend" in some areas of South America is "choche" or "pana", in Central America it can be "pasiero" or "vato" depending on the region and country.
So, the next time you spend a lot of time to build your arsenal of Spanish swear or slang words, remember you may be wasting your time because they probably won't work for everyone. Instead you can spend your time learning practical conversational phrases with the Level I Visual Link Spanish Course.
