Want to Learn Spanish with an Instructor/Guide and a Personal Trainer?

January 4th, 2012

Hola Amigos!

We have something exciting for you that we’re going to start in the next week or two to help you better learn Spanish. It is designed to help provide you daily motivation and encouragement to learn.

I will be giving you daily guidance, instruction and a recommendation of how much of the Visual Link Spanish course you should be learning every day. I will provide material for 5 days a week with you studying 30-40 minutes per day.

I will recommend which lessons from the Visual Link Spanish software specifically to learn each day and show you a few minutes of each lesson.

Then, Jake will become your personal trainer to help you get pumped up to learn. He will provide training and encouragement here on our blog, on Facebook and Twitter.

Our goal is to involve as many of you and get you motivated to truly learn Spanish. If some of you are interested in being “guest bloggers/learners”, please let us know and we can get your daily feedback as you go through the Level I course with us. We’ll then post your comments on our blog. “Guest bloggers/learners” who make it through the whole course giving us daily updates, will get the price of the course refunded at the end of the course. We just ask that you give us at least 3-4 updates a week and stay caught up over the weekend. We’ll probably limit the daily “guest bloggers/learners” to 3 or 4 of you.

If you don’t want to contribute officially on the blog but just want to come along for the ride, that’s great – you are the real reason we are doing this – so you can accomplish together with all of us!

We will also answer your questions on the blog as we go through the course.

Before we get going, we would love your feedback.

Let us know what you think and if you have any ideas for us. We hope you will help us create one big Spanish-learning “virtual gym” – an environment where your “español” can blossom.

Hasta luego!

I think this will be excellent! Sometimes you need a little push from an outside source to get you over bumps in the road. I have a couple of friends doing this very thing with me, and I like it because I probably would have stopped studying and given up if it were not for them. This will be cool!

what a fantastic idea…. i winter in spain and am having problems with the language as they all seem to speak different dialects. I try to keep up with my lessons. but as spain is such a social country it can sometimes be very difficult… i think this is a fabulous idea xx

  3. Sara says:

I would like to know the cost of this service and budget accordingly. I do not doubt that it will accelerate my language learning, but I am also a college student on a tight budget. Thus I must know the charges so that I set aside sufficient funds. I am also very busy, and would need this to be flexible as well in order to fully use this service.

    • Dave Clark says:

Right now, we are planning for this to be a free service. All you need is the course. You can get a monthly subscription for just $9.99/mtn or a download for $99.99 or the software, audio and manuals is on sale right now for $119.99.

  4. Gail says:

Love the idea. I will so the lesson if material are available. I especially like it when the videos have
    a vocabulary list.

  8. Margaret Smith says:

Good idea. I purchased the course in December 2011 and also doing another certificated course here in the UK, so for me it would be a real bonus, but must tell you I am a beginner. Count me in.

  9. Betty says:

Very good idea… everybody needs encouragement now and then… can’t wait to try…

  10. Ron says:

This is an excellent idea! I already have purchased Level I but fear that I’m not going anywhere with it. I’m too self-concious to try it out on my Hispanic neighbors (except for one or two) because of very negative comments I’ve gotten from some of them conceerning people “butchering” their language. Of course, they never mention what they’re doing to MY language! I really like Spanish and want to speak it. This will help me immensely. Thanks for always thinking about us, Dave.

  11. Ron says:

I forgot: Feliz dia de los Reyes.

  12. Lozie says:

Im interested in becoming a guest blogger. How do I find out more?

    • Jake Beus says:

Send me an email at jake(at)spanishprograms.com, put “Learn Spanish Challenge Guest Blogger” in the Subject line and let me know that you’d like to be a guest blogger. Then I’ll get you a free course and give you more instructions.

  13. Katrina Gray says:

Me encanta esta idea! I have Level 1,2,3 already but I’m still working through level one. I think I would get a lot out of more personalized instruction. I’m interested in being a guest blogger as well. Muchas gracias!

  15. Howard says:

I have the software from a couple of years ago. I like it but I didn’t have the discipline to go through it on my own. This will be great if the software hasn’t changed too much.

  16. Florencio Pacis says:

Excelent idea. I would welcome the idea of being corrected by anyone when I post something that is not grammatically correct. I can uderstand more than I can speak at this time.

    Muchas gracias.

  17. Lisa Ferguson says:

I love the way Visual Links is so dynamic and is continually evolving it’s approach to teaching and sharing and encouraging students.I think this is a great initiative and will be delighted to participate.

  18. I’m having a lot of fun learning Spanish with Level 1 and the DLC program. This is the first blog I have ever actually visited. I’d love to work with a tutor/mentor. What do I need to do?

  19. Marian Campbell says:

¡Esta idea es maravillosa! I already have Levels 1-3 and the DLC program, pero nunca no tengo suficiente tiempo para practicar. Quiero aprender escuchar y poder entender mejor. ¡Tengo mucho interes!

  20. nina says:

Anything like this helps. The world lacks patience when there are other languages involved…muchas gracias. your program is the only thing that has actually really helped me at all.

  21. Pat Finnegan says:

    Count me in!

  22. carleen frans says:

I have purchased all you have to offer including the workbooks. I really want to learn, so the chance to have a personal trainer would be fantastic. Any help would be appreciated. I know a lot of vocabulary and your course is helping me put sentences in order, but I’m a long way from saying I speak or understand Spanish. Sign me up.

  23. Johanna says:

I would love to be involved. i will move to Ecuador when i retire and learning the language will be a wonderful thing!
